Welcome to the Atlanta chapter of the National Association of African Americans in Human Resources.

Our commitment as a professional organization is to advance knowledge in the theory and practice of human resources management for all levels of human resources practitioners. This vision is accomplished by providing opportunities for professional growth and development while serving as a vehicle by which to share innovative ideas and information. Our member base is comprised of College students, entry and mid level Human Resources practitioners, Senior level Human Resources Business Partners, Managers and Directors as well as seasoned Human Resources Executives.

Katrina Shackelford, SHRM-CP | President

Katrina holds the esteemed position of President for the NAAAHR Atlanta chapter. With a robust background spanning over a decade, she is a seasoned Human Resources Professional, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to our organization.

Katrina’s multifaceted background, coupled with her commitment to professional development and self-awareness, makes her a valuable asset to our board. Her leadership and dedication has undoubtedly contribute to the continued success of our organization.

Katrina earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and further solidified her knowledge with a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management.

Lawrence Henderson | SVP & COO

The ultimate comfort-disrupting teddy bear with over two decades of expertise in Leadership and Organizational Development Coaching, Training, and Consulting.
Serving as CEO and Founder of Business Operational Support Services, LLC (BOSS. LLC), Lawrence’s journey is a testament to his commitment to professional development.

He believes in leading by example and passion lies in forging meaningful connections and being a catalyst for others to unleash their amazing potential.

Nicole Jennings | VP, Administration and Operational Effectiveness & Administration

Nicole brings a unique blend of expertise in Project Management, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Management, Contact Center Leadership, Process Improvement, and Vendor Management.

Over the years, she’s spearheaded teams across the United States and India, propelling them towards success while also venturing into consulting roles. Today, Nicole is dedicated to empowering organizations through knowledge management mastery, success measurement, and adeptly navigating change management and culture transformation.

Her holistic approach to leadership extends beyond the boardroom; Nicole is also a certified herbalist, self-care facilitator, and entrepreneur, advocating for the well-being of individuals and organizations alike.

Jasen Hayes, MBA | VP, Finance

With over a decade of experience in talent acquisition and management, including five years as an HR Business Partner, Jasen is a trusted liaison who optimizes results within deadlines, making magic happen every step of the way.Jasen is a leader who merges people and companies for unparalleled success through innovative HR and talent strategies. Unlocking solutions is Jasen’s forte. From crafting policies to coaching individuals, he’s dedicated to driving results and facilitating growth at every turn; with a Dual Concentration MBA in Human Resources Management & International Marketing, United Way VIP, Korn Ferry Leadership U Certification, and a proud Air Force Reserve Veteran.

Shanoa Young, MBA | VP, Digital & Strategy

Shanoa is a powerhouse of innovation, connectivity, and strategic vision. Transitioning from a tenured Human Resources career to Project/Program Management, Shanoa brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the table.

A proud Ragin’ Cajun alumni, Shanoa is a subject matter specialist in Performance Management, Employee Engagement, Content Design, and Project/Program Management. Her career highlights speak volumes about her ability to surpass organizational goals with cutting-edge ideas, showcasing her prowess as a strategic thinker.

Let’s not forget her passion for the art of content design and poetry – as a creator, Shanoa thrives on the beauty of creativity and expression.

Lauren Robinson-Corgile, PHR, MBA | VP, Membership

Lauren has left her mark in both Federal and State government roles with over 15 years of progressive HR experience.

Graduating from Tennessee State University with a Business Administration and Spanish degree, Lauren’s passion for people isn’t just a trait – it’s her superpower. As a Senior HR Business Partner at the Georgia Department of Community Health, she’s a guiding light in Employee Relations, offering strategic support in coaching, conflict resolution, recruiting, and all things HR-related.

As a trained mediator and EEO Counselor, her strategic mindset and creative approach, she has navigated roadblocks with grace and finesse.

Libby Davidson | Co-VP of Events

With a proven track record in office administration, technical expertise, and event planning, Libby’s enthusiasm and dedication shine through in every project she undertakes.

Libby’s background speaks volumes about her versatility and adaptability. As the owner of Elite Gatherings, a premier event planning company, she has honed her skills in coordination, planning, and execution, ensuring that every occasion is nothing short of extraordinary.

Libby’s expertise extends far beyond event planning. Her attention to detail shines as she compiles and perpetuates records, providing a solid foundation for financial transparency and accountability. With a keen eye for detail and a knack for staying organized in even the busiest environments, Libby has established herself as a go-to expert leaving a lasting impact.
